The Process

Site Assessment

We visit your location to evaluate and confirm your preferred size and placement for the ice rink, marking the perimeter to provide a clear visual of the final product before sending out the proposal.

Perimeter Install

Our team will reach out to schedule the installation of the perimeter boards, ensuring we leave space for any fall landscaping work. Once the boards are in place, we’ll coordinate with you to arrange the liner installation.

Liner Install

On the scheduled date, we install your liner and provide you with a detailed, step-by-step tutorial on how to properly fill and maintain your new outdoor rink. Getting you fully prepared to enjoy it all season long.

The FUN BEGINS!

You’re all set to dive into endless winter fun and create unforgettable memories with your family and friends! Don’t forget to share your photos on social media and tag us with #Rinkman to receive 10% off your spring takedown.

Your Process

1st – Clear the Area

Remove all debris from the rink area, including sticks, toys, and pet waste, to avoid damage or punctures to the liner.

2nd – Get Rink Maintenance Equipment Inside

Ensure that all necessary maintenance equipment is inside the rink area for easy access and upkeep.

3rd – Prepare for Installation

On installation day, move the hose next to the rink and place the liner at the top corner of the boards to protect it from small animals.

4th – Fill with Water

Position the hose in the deep end and fill the rink to a height of 4 inches in the shallow end. Turn off the water overnight to prevent freezing.

5th – Allow to Freeze

Keep the rink area clear of foot traffic and animals. Adjust the plastic and pinch clips as needed while filling. Shovel immediately after snowfall.

6th – Maintain the Rink

Once the ice is solid enough for skating, regularly shovel and resurface with thawed hose water, leaving a quarter inch of water on the surface.

Schedule Spring Take Down

We offer a Take Down service at an additional cost, where we neatly stack and cover the material in a discreet area of your yard or garage. The space required is minimal—about 2’ x 2’ x 8’, roughly knee-high and door-length. We ensure the stack is properly arranged to allow the material to breathe while being protected from the elements, to ensure you’re ready for next year’s new family tradition.
